DocuPhi | Why DocuPhi | Technical Specicfications | Deployment Models | Security | Under the Hood

“One size doesn’t fit all” goes the saying and depending on the customer’s choice, preference and inclination, PhiStream currently provides two deployment models

Hosted

This follows the Application Service Provider (ASP) model of yore that has now come to be known as the Software as a Service (SaaS) model. To facilitate easy adoption DocuPhi can be provided as a hosted solution. DocuPhi will be hosted on PhiStream managed servers and will be accessed by users using a web browser. The onus of maintaining and upgrading DocuPhi would lie with PhiStream Technical Support. The advantages to this approach include:

  • Software integration issues are eliminated from the client site
  • Key software systems are kept up to date, available, and managed for performance by experts
  • Improve the reliability, availability, scalability and security of internal IT systems
  • The Service Level Agreement (SLA) guarantees a certain level of service
  • Access product and technology experts dedicated to available products
  • Reduce internal IT costs to a predictable monthly fee.
  • Redeploy IT staff and tools to focus on strategic technology projects that impact the enterprise's bottom line

Apart from the terms and conditions mentioned in the SLA, PhiStream will endeavor to ensure security of data as mentioned in Security

In-house

This approach involves the customer hosting the entire application along with the database and the file server on reliably managed servers that are completely accessible by the customer. The customer is also responsible for the general upkeep of the server with PhiStream taking responsibility for DocuPhi maintenance and upkeep as mentioned in the SLA.
